George Harold Wade, Sr. is usually referred to as "Harold" by his family and is frequently noted as "G. Harold."

Harold's farm was located where the Franklin Township municipal complex currently is. The text on the negative says "Wade's goat 4/29/28". Alan's official spelling is Allen.

Elton's father George E. Wade is petting the goat, belonging to Elton's brother George Harold (who went by Harold). The goat is now on the ground and George E. is bent over next to him. Behind them you can see trees and what may be a building. George E. may also be holding the goat's horns to keep it in place.
