Harold's goat with Dad, George, & Alan - 04/29/1928

Elton's father, George E. Wade, is petting the goat, belonging to Elton's brother George Harold (who went by Harold). The goat is standing on a treestrump and two of Elton's nephews, George H. Wade, Jr. and Alan T. Wade (Harold's children), are watching. George H. is on the left and closer to the foreground. They're on Harold's farm with a house, shed and trees in the background. Harold's farm was located where the Franklin Township municipal complex currently is. The text on the negative says "Wade's goat 4/29/28". Alan's official spelling is Allen.

Elton's father George E. Wade is petting the goat, belonging to Elton's brother George Harold (who went by Harold). The goat is now on the ground and George E. is bent over next to him. Behind them you can see trees and what may be a building. George E. may also be holding the goat's horns to keep it in place.

Gathering hay on Harold's farm in Middlebush, NJ. His farm was on the site where the Franklin Township municipal complex currently is located. One man, identified as Walter Lester, gathers hay into a pile. On the wagon one boy, George Harold Wade, Jr., rakes the hay into place while his brother, Alan Wade, leans on some wooden beams and looks to the left. Behind the tractor stands George E. Wade (Harold's father) lifting hay onto the wagon. On the tractor are Elton Leslie Wade (usually known as "Leslie"), the young boy, and George Harold Wade, Sr., known familiarly as "Harold." Harold is Geroge Jr., Alan, and Leslie's father.
